Welcoming Snow

It's not really my cup of tea to naturally be excited when the snow falls. It's a bother, quite frankly. Messy, time consuming, and creates a mudbath afterwards....at least in our back yard. I like 70-90 weather, if I were to put in an order.

Welcome Snow

There's something pretty and Serenely magical about snow falling.
When it lies there, untouched, by footprints, dog pee and dirty snowplows it's like nature's sequins.

Hiding the dirt, mud, sticks and stones that break my bones,
the snow is welcome here.

Heavy and wet,a blanket is set, at least for awhile,
allowing things to be unseen.

Snow allows withdraw, hibernation, hermithood.
I can use that now and then.

Snow welcomes the whole world to hush, if for a moment,
as if saying, "look, listen, feel".

The harsher noises are muffled,
and we can sense a sacredness about the ground.

It reminds me of the distinct possibility of
always having beauty in our lives-

It calls us to Pay Attention & Soak up this particular
moment while it's still here.

Look, Listen Feel.
